New for 2020: we are offering a limited number of Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) shares this season.  For twenty weeks from the week of May 30 to Thanksgiving, you can get fresh produce and some preserves from us for a total cost of $500 for the season, payable by May 15.  With a CSA, you share the risk and reward of local farming.  We will post a list of what we intend to grow shortly in our News section.  Some crops may not perform well this year, but others may produce a bumper crop, and you will share in the bounty of all that we produce.  Please let us know as soon as possible if you are interested so that we can plan our crops accordingly.

It’s certainly shaping up to be a challenging year.  Covid-19 restrictions mean that our normal income sources have been restricted, due to loss of paid off-farm work and farmers’ market closures.  We are thankful for temporary government support.  Due to the seasonal nature of our work, we can’t easily make up lost revenue now during the rest of the year.  This is normally the start of our busiest time of the year.

However, we are committed to growing healthy, nutritious food and getting it to our local customers.  We’ve been busy in the greenhouse and field.  We will have seedlings available in a few weeks: heirloom tomatoes, tomatillos, ground cherries, sweet and hot peppers, eggplant, herbs, marigolds and more.  You can order directly from us and we can arrange pick up or delivery.  Please see our News section for a list of available varieties.

No one knows when this crisis will end or when things will get back to some semblance of normal.  We will post local market information as it comes available.  In the meantime, feel free to contact us directly to inquire about CSA shares, seedling sales, and occasional purchases of fresh produce and preserves.

Thank you.  Stay healthy, stay safe at home.
